Apparently, in this building sat the first Senate and the first House of Representatives of the United States of America. In fact, herein George Washington was inaugurated President, March 4, 1793 and closed his official career when herein, also John Adams was inaugurated the second President of the United States, March 4, 1797.

Supreme Court Building

Apparently, in this building met the first Supreme Court of the United States of America, 1791-1800. It was presided over by Chief Justices John Jay, John Rutledge, and Oliver Ellsworth. It was even occupied as a City Hall from 1791-1854.
